93 pass attempts and no pics

He's doing what most players probably would. Doing whatever needs to be done to stay on the field.

And win... doing whatever he needs to do to stay on the field and win... you left that part out.

How much you wanna bet he's doing precisely what his coaches tell him to do?

Iowa can work against stacked box. But when your running a running back committee it makes it tough. Iowa gets stacked because they aren't executing to the wings like they should.

Iowa did better on their passing attack and running game in the second half. Bullock dances too much. If that can't get coached out of him he needs to used someplace else. Jake did throw some deep balls. Didn't complete any. He completed some 10-15 yard stuff which was better than last week. Last week was all check down to a 3 yard pass. The screen pass didn't work. Lack of execution.

I'm very hard of hearing and I can read lips really well. Bullock clearly was not happy on one of those "hang out to dry" plays. Pretty sure the words, WTF, came out of his mouth... and based on his throat movement he was shouting those words.

Bullock has been smoked at least once in each of the first two games. He's going to get a concussion, one of these times.

I'd bet pretty much everything I have that Jake's doing exactly what the coaches are telling him to do. If he wasn't, he wouldn't be playing. According to Eddie P, whose opinion and football knowledge matters more to me than all other Iowa media types combined, CJ has more ability and should be playing so Jake's best chance to stay ahead of him is to do exactly as he's told.

I thought when Kirk got asked last week about the check downs he didn't seem pleased, but I just read the ****** didn't listen to the audio.

More important stat is ypa, which is sitting at 6.15. That folks is abysmal. Defenses will (and have) let you get shorts one all day. They sit back and get to destroy the easily read check downs.

Does anyone know where you can find a pass distribution chart for his pass tendencies? They showed an interesting graphic on Saturday that put it into perspective why he has so many completions. I'd like to see the same thing for the season so far.
