I am right there with you. got kind of hard to read the 2nd and 3rd pages as a my vision got blurry. Great kid from a great family.
 
I've lost count of how many times I've read this story in the past couple years, but I cry every time, even money. I've always wished I could have known him (he was a family friend, and I was three years old when he died).
 
As an ISU fan, I hated the guy as a player, which should be taken as a high compliment... it meant he was a damn good player.

Although I don't have a fan connection to him like you all do, it's still sad to see someone go so soon. RIP.

The Cyclones paid tribute for several years by having one of their players from the state of Iowa wear Chris' number. If I remember correctly, I think Fred Hoiberg participated in the tribute.
