No, i don't trust barta, but ive said it a few times, it would be hard to find a coach who couldn't win 7 games every year at Iowa. Which, outside of two seasons, is all KF has done for going on 8 years now.

I dont think Iowa could get anyone who could put better talent on the field, KFs reputation is established as a guy who will get you to the NFL and he is a great evaluator of talent.

I also think it would be hard to find a coach who could do worse in terms of preparation and in game situations.

I honestly dont know if a coaching change would be better or worse. It would probably just end up with more 7-5 records but with less underachieving.

At least with Ferentz you have the potential to occasionally put an extremely talented team on the field that can overcome all the game time mistakes and needlessly conservative strategies.

That would represent the group on here that thinks KF should be gone. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have done the things we have over the last 10 years. Until the ship goes down - ie: consecutive losing seasons, relax. The guy knows what he's doing. We aren't good TODAY, I get that. But he is one of the best coaches around, period.

Might I remind you, we have 1, I repeat, 1 NCAA tourney victory since Tom Davis left. It was a very bad decision then just like replacing KF would be now.

Kf is one of if not worst in game coaches around period!

It is when you actually play to win instead of play not to lose. KF is not a victim of his own success, he is a victim of his own lack of imagination and lack of aggression.

When you have an athletic department with nearly unlimited funds (Top 15 in the nation), brand new facilities, a boss that gives you nearly unlimited latitude to do your job, and more job security than any other coach in the entire country, lack of success if a YOU problem. If we don't have the players, that's on him, he recruits them. If we don't have the playcallers, that's on him, he hires them.

All I know is that with a 4 game non-con that includes only 1 BCS school most years, then 3 wins should be the minimum. That means you only have to finish, at a minimum, .500 in conference. If you can't do that, you should go sell cars for a living.
