We are 8 points away from being 7-0 this year. In both games Special Teams have cost us. We all know what happened in Arizona, but yesterday was just uncalled for.

missed extra point- I don't know who the guard was on the PAT, but that guy got blown up and Watt was able to get in there and block it.

Botched Field Goal- The snap was a little high, but he still should of gotten it down, he just wasn't ready for the snap.

Offsides on the Kick-off- that was a HUGE penalty, instead of having wisky pinned deep at their own 16, we re-kick and they return it back to the Iowa 45!

Fake Punt- How in that situation do you not have someone spy the punter? up 6 with 7min left in the game, you think Bielama is gonna give us the ball back? Wow I even called the fake punt before it happened, when will our coaches start to think outside the box!

Overall I am more disappointed in the coaches than I am the players. Iowa had very poor game management, terrible IQ under 1 min left in the game. I still don't think Ricky lost us the game, I personally feel that our lack of coaching, and poor special teams cost us this game. Well we are 5-2 overall and 2-1 in conference. We still have a shot to do some damage, I just don't think a BCS bowl is gonna happen!

I agree with your other points, but the FG was at the end of the second quarter and led to the sequence that ended in the Hawks scoring a touchdown at the end of the half. I highly doubt we make the FG, hold WI to three and out, and score.

That 2008 team was 12 points away from 12-0, but this one stings more for some people because of their lofty expectations. I get a little growly when we lose, but I expect the Hawks to lose every big game they play and never really compete for the title. Someday the rest of you will see things that way.

No yesterday the defense was the area that lost the game....Wisky carved them up like a hot knife through butter. It was a joke how easily they moved the football.

I understand that this game should have been won, and for multiple reasons. Sure, the defense got the ball run down their throat, but the special teams blunders we saw were INEXCUSABLE.

Missed PAT - should never happen at this level, 2 times in one season is ridiculous

Long Wis FG at end of half - this probably wouldn't have made a difference, but why wasn't anyone back to return it? at least give it a chance when there's nothing to lose and everything to gain. he obviously had no chance to make that kick, what was it 67 yds?

Offsides on Kickoff - I was at the game so didnt get to see a replay, but I hope he was blatantly offsides. That's a call that could be made on most kickoffs (i.e. Outback vs. Florida) but rarely ever is. And it cost us big

Fake Punt - this one is entirely on the coaches. never good when the punter is following players down the field.

I'm sick of elementary special teams and coaching errors costing this team games.

Agreed. My buddies always give me flack for being "negative" and predicting a loss when it comes to a big game. It's a good card to play. If they lose, you're right. If they win, alrrrrright!!

same thing can be said about last year, except EVERYTHING went in our favor. This year was a wake up call.
