Now that we see the Hawks playing up, then dog bad, here is what I think.

H Michigan - Loss
A Penn State - Win
A Indiana - Loss
H Wisconsin - Win
A Minnesota - Loss
H Purdue - Win
A MSU - Loss
H Illinois -Win

4-5 back half of the conf and 10-8 overall. Not really very good all things considered, but likely good enough for entry into the dance without having to win too many BTT games.

Could easily flip @ Penn State and Home Wisc to be 2-7 back half for 8-10 and 19-12 overall. Will need to win at least one to dance.
If they don't make dance, the fan base is going to go ape sheet.

Flip the Michigan and Penn St games. Go figure, but Iowa will beat Michigan because they will be ****** with the outcome of this game. Then, play like dogcrap again at PSU (however, Iowa could pull this one out as they seem to beat the bottom of the league with the most ease out of this league).

I don't expect Iowa to really win again on the road, but protect the home court from this point on.

so 20-11 and 9-9 in the conference...might have to win 1 in the BTT to dance...but probably in.

I am trying to see a win against UM this weekend, I really am, but....

Mich will be a very tough game. A win will be huge, a loss(depending on how) could be a tough on this team. We CAN win, but they need to play well and MAKE SHOTS and FTs.

I'm hoping for that loss at Penn State. I was just reminded in another thread (and not the first time this has been referenced this season) that Michigan lost to Penn State last season and still made the NCAA title game.

So, Hawks have that going for them and I don't think there's ever been a more reliable transitive inference in the history of cognitive reasoning.

what a difference 2 weeks makes, from final four team to a team that may not even make the tourney.

It is tough to predict anything with this team. I'd be very happy if they beat Michigan on Saturday but there is no sense in getting too excited one way or the other.

I'm a little more optimistic at 11-7.

I can't believe people are really trying to predict the rest of the season. After tonight who knows. We only have about 2 or 3 good wins at this point. Not great wins Good wins.

Based on current observations (team could totally snap out of this funk). 3-5 over last 8, ending up with 20-11, 9-9 in B1G. If we win the 'Sconnie game at home (which we SHOULD, dammit) then 21-10, 10-8.

Still scary and too close to bubble time for my tastes.

Prove me wrong, Hawks!

Three losses, @MN, @MSU, and I'm inclined to say @IU but I think iowa is just better than them. Still think there is one more in there.

People are hitting the panic button too early. Now if Iowa loses to UM and @Psu ok, I get it.

At worst 4-4

I see 3-5, at worst: likely W's = Wisky, Purdue, lllannoy. @PSU game being the swing.
I see 5-3 as the best: above 3 + PSU and split @ Indy / @ Minny.

Either way that's somewhere between 2 and 4 games worse than what I thought, preseason (13-5) and 1 to 3 games worse than last year's team (finished 6-2).

8-0

Assuming that the big 10 referee favoritism situation gets cleaned up. Or of course Iowa could blow out every team to the extent that the refs can't do anything about it. 8-0 and win them all by 10 or more!
