"Those hok fans are dead wrong. Funny how they can go 4-8 and the fans believe they'll bounce back, yet ISU starts 0-2 and we're back to terrible football forever. Wishful thinking on their part. IMO next year, ISU is going to be very, very salty.

QB: Richardson back with a year under his belt. Rohach pushing him as well as Lanning/Hodge. BETTER
RB: Still have Wimberly and Nealy back plus Standard and Tyler Brown. PUSH
WR: Bundrage is a budding star. They get Montgomery off of RS plus Lazard. Ecby will get good experience this year. They only lose Coleman and Gary. MUCH BETTER
TE: Lose Brun, return Bibbs and Boesen. SLIGHTLY WORSE
OL: Lichtenburg and Tuftee have both been benched this year already. Lalk, Dagel and Burton are getting great experience plus another year in the weightroom. They start Dagel, Burton, Farniok, Lalk and Gannon. Best OL of the CPR era. MUCH BETTER
DE: Lose Scott, return Morrissey, Kron, Meyers and Lemke. I think they need a JUCO for competition, but they'll be improved. BETTER
DT/NG: Everyone's back. Irving and Coe now have a whole two games under their belt as a DT. They're going to improve. Both will be Seniors, as will Jensen. Then you have Cousins and Aka getting snaps this year as RS Sophs next year. And Trent and Garcia coming off of RS. MUCH BETTER
LB: A year in the weightroom for Brackens and Knott plus experience. Seeley can replace George and already outweighs him. Plus they get Meeks, Madison, Mills and Webster off of RS. BETTER
CB: Lose Watson, everyone else returns. IMO they start Tribune and probably Richardson or Lynn, but the TRFR they have coming in are going to push them. PUSH
S: This is the biggest loss on the team. I think that they're grooming Rogers to move there to replace one of the SRs. IMO Cotton might get the other spot. Not a huge dropoff, but still a dropoff. WORSE

Overall, I have no problem saying that this is an 8-4 type team. They need to get their playcalling/OC issues worked out, but if they do, IMO we're in for a good year. They just need to keep plugging away and improving throughout this season."

I must say a six or seven game improvement over the prior year is impressive indeed.

Meh......zero cares about isu. I don't even know who those players are and I don't care to. Good for them if they can achieve it, I guess.

2 games into the season, and they're already talking about "next year". I'd say that captures it pretty well.

Back to terrible football forever? Back to? When did they ever stop being terrible? I mean yeah, Richardson will be better, but he sucks, and he'll just suck less. Just because he'll be better doesn't mean he'll be good. Your success is not relative to how much better you are against yourself.

WMU week, this crap needs to be placed back in teh Rivalry Forum. Im not worried about ISU until early December when the basketball team goes to Hilton.

As posted by Jon last week:

"This week, let it rip...if Iowa wins on Saturday, this policy is extended. Should Iowa lose, it's back to the rivalry cave and most ISU posters will be banned."

Well then its pretty obvious HFN and Jon both consider the ISU game Iowa's Super Bowl. Obsessed Hawk fans are obsessed with little brother.

I was thinking the same thing. But the funny thing is as top heavy the B12 is this year there are 7 winnable games remaining on their schedule. They should win their next 2 games @Tulsa and home against Texas.

Of course, Iowa State is talking about next season.
Their season starts and end with the Iowa game.

Don't see it happening. The only positions/players that impressed me were their wide receiver group and Irving. I do think he could become a beast on the DLine but there is no way they will get to 8 wins next year.

Here's the thing I imaging with state fans. I imaging them all hooked up to IVs and when things start going south and the fans start coming to their senses Pollard at the controls turns the koolade flow onto full blast and they fall right back into line.
