Apologies if not appropriate, my son's traveling team in western Chicago suburbs was asked to scrimmage the Moosehart Il 8th grade team. For those unaware Moosehart is a school for children in need http://www.mooseheart.org/
Anyway they have a 6'6 player, athletic, very impressive hops, good ball handling that is in 8th grade. Very thin young man at this point in time. I am not sure if he will get opportunity to play AAU or other competitive traveling teams but they do play other private schools in the area. Might be worth keeping an eye on this young man.
