The National headline is Iowa is the 5th best team in the country. I don’t really care if they are, or are not. Enjoy the moment y’all.

First, these are the AP and coaches polls so not the CFP rankings and it is early. They don't even start the other poll till later when more is known. Iowa in these polls is indeed a totally legit 5 and 7. They don't predict that this or that will improve or not going forward. They just snapshot them atm.

Some of us can say it is scary cause of the offense off to a slow start and the taking the foot off the gas may come back to bite them and all that. The polls don't get into all that. Just the resume after week 2 and that's it. Impressive against a top twenty and a top ten team on the road.
