5-7. Would you take it from where we stand today?

Short answer: NO. To me, there's little difference between going 3-9 or 5-7. Both are crap.

I predicted 4-8 this year, but just because 5-7 is technically better, that doesn't mean "I'll take it".

That also doesn't mean improvement can't be made en-route to a 5-7 record this year, though. The key is that improvement continue to be made, much like it did from 2000 to 2001, and 2002.

in a heartbeat, because I think we are going 3-9, at best

that said, if I thought we had even a slightly realistic chance of having a good season (8+ wins), I'd say no to 5-7 and roll the dice

To me, anything less than 8 wins is crap ... 7-5 and in the dotcom.com bowl doesn't add to my happiness
