I always thought QB's are suppose to be your smartest players but anyone ever notice that there are a lot of times on a 4 and long situation when, if you don't pick it up the game is over, and the QB takes off on a run or simlply takes a sack.
Being the smartest player on the offense I would think that a QB would be telling themselves that I have to throw the ball up NO MATTER WHAT cuz it doesn't matter if it is picked off. If you do throw it up you have a slight chance and if you don't throw it you have 0 chance.
This is not intended to be a knock on JVB because it happened today I have just seen it happen a lot at all levels of football and it blows my mind.
