49ers Draft Beathard in 3rd Round

I'm happy for the young man how ever going this high in the draft is a shock.Have to think GRANDPA had something to do with this.NFL is a very tight fraternity.Just saying.
Maybe you need to visit the thread titled "What did we miss on C.J... er, Desmond King?" I know KF sure missed on C.J.

Why is Kittle listed as a FB on ESPN? Is that where NFL sees him? What NFL teams even use FB's anymore?

Packers

Steelers use their TE as H-backs in certain formations.

The other Watt brother not named TJ or JJ is a fullback somewhere I can't remember where.......Raiders????

I read that Kyle Shannonhan likes to use a lot of 3 TE sets.

I noticed that too. Kittle will be used more so as a TE I bet . They just signed Kyle Juszcyk and he's an H back/full back type too. The 49ers during the draft were trying to shop their current starting TE Vance McDonald to trade with no luck. They have a few other decent ones too so it'll be interesting to see how Kittle will fit in.

If he can stay healthy I have to think he'll have a shot, a good shot.

saw call-in show on youtube, locas never heard of him

Not too surprising I suppose. Although I'd question your fanhood of football to a degree for not. He's had name out there for awhile now played in Rose Bowl.. So the locals that call into those things just aren't as knowledgeable.

The 49ers are taking some grief over taking CJ where they did how they did. I suppose if they weren't my favorite pro team taking my favorite college teams QB I'd think the same. Nothing will tickle me more than if CJ can develop and prove taking him like that wasn't a mistake. The fact he was their 2nd 3rd round pick and taken late during it will get over shadowed by that it was still the 3rd round and they traded back up to get him. To me getting a kid like him there isn't a huge risk at all. I mean compared to what the Bears or even the Chiefs did this is smart.

1. CJ is very well connected. Think Stanzi and KC or JR and Jim.
2. 2015 was epic for him.
3. A good back up needs to be versatile. He can run, throw, play consercative, and take risks. He's also likeable for teamates.
4. 2015 I still think was a lot about his knee. He apparently is better. I know far more about knee injuries than I wish I do. Convinced the biggest issue was about the knee more than plays and line problems.
