45 Degrees and Rain

Won't be fun unless Iowa is whooping nebraska.
Yeah I've been to high school games in inclement weather. When you are kicking butt you barely notice it's raining. When you're getting it kicked it's the most miserable experience in the world.

The key in either case is keeping feet dry. Do that and you have a fighting chance. Once the feet are soaked it's game over.

Not at all looking forward to getting rained on but we'll be in the stands.

That forecast favors a running QB. Unfortunately. I do NOT want to lose to those douche bags.

I don’t see it favoring them. It makes it easier to key on keeping Martinez in the pocket. Force him to make tough throws in the conditions.

I said it favors a running QB. That doesn't mean it will favor Nebraska, necessarily. Stanley has been ass in bad weather games. Cold, rainy weather does not make throwing the ball easier. A running QB has an advantage over a non-running QB.
Unless you think it's easier to throw the ball in bad weather vs run the ball. You're entitled to that opinion.

Maybe. But it will be difficult for him to make cuts. I see Iowa going ground and pound against the plaque-shirts and setting up Fant and Hock big time for play action.

Hawks 35-24

Agreed that cold, rainy weather doesn't make throwing the ball easier. That was the point I was making though. We can focus more on his running ability to try and neutralize that aspect of his game and force him to throw more. I like our chances if we can force him to try and beat us through the air.

In theory, you are correct. When was the last time you saw a Parker defense get away from it's base formula? We'll see.

Not trying to be that game but will the rain really affect anything we do offensively? I see it being detrimental to Nebby potentially making them one dimensional, but we're run heavy and passing game rarely calls for the deep ball. I just don't see how this really affects us offensively.

This weather is advantage Iowa...wind will be a factor, rain will be a factor and it will be cold. If you watched the MSUCK VS Lil Debbie you would of seen how those west coast and Florida boys were liking the cold and wind. Scott's offense is predicated on using those wide outs and then mixing in play action with the TB, and designed read options. Wet, cold and wind are not designed for this offense. This day will be built for the ground game, play action passes and clock control...all things that the "Frost system" is not designed for.

yep, and the best way to get a head cold a few days later

I had planned on going to this game before the season started but after the team dropped 4 turds .... nah.
what are you gonna do, sit on your sofa and eat left over turkey meatloaf? Or turkey soup, turkey sandwich on white wonder bread and a slab on Velveeta cheese, turkey mashed potatoes, turkey egg rolls, turkey cheese dip, turkey nachos, turkey lasagna, turkey pot pie, turkey enchiladas!??!??

I agree with everything you said EXCEPT I do think it favors them in that it will somewhat neutralize Stanley. Mother Nature has adversely affected us this year with the elements working against Stanley.
