I'd like to think the days of FBs playing RB are done baring any appearances of what shall not be mentioned. We shouldn't have much trouble getting a stable of RBs to want to come. We offer touches and a lot of them in a pro style offense if your good. With the new facility and overall momentum of program what else could a RB recruit want... Other then what the SEC gives them under the table anyway...
there is a reason Weisman stepped up and filled the roll he did. there have been times in hawkeye history where RBs dropped like flies - i think there is an acronym even for that.......dude should be considered in a better light than he is on this board.
Eno was just named 1st team all state RB in Class 5A in Texas. Is that good?
Hey I love Weisman. He won us some games. But there were times where his style just didn't work, and KF stuck with him no matter what. I think that's why people got frustrated and make the FB and HB comments.there is a reason Weisman stepped up and filled the roll he did. there have been times in hawkeye history where RBs dropped like flies - i think there is an acronym even for that.......dude should be considered in a better light than he is on this board.

Offers from nine P5 schools already including Texas Tech, Northwestern, Miami, Duke, Colorado, Boston College, Arizona State. Solid 4* and Scout top 300. This kid looks like the real deal based on his highlights ...What are his other offers (too lazy to look up)? What a coup to get him over Texas, TCU, Baylor, T. Tech, if he's as good as advertised.
I meant that in the terms of that going forward our depth chart shouldn't have it ever come to needing a FB to play it on such a full time basis over 2 yrs especially. I wasn't going to bring up those 6 letters that were the reason for that for nothing. I have nothing against Weisman I was a fan of his. He was a FB playing RB and it looked like it. Our offense is just so much better and explosive when you have guys that can bust long runs. The threat of it changes how we were defended as the year went on too. When Weisman was in there that box was as small as a phone booth. Now they gotta play us way more honestly. What was Weismans longest play? 35-40 yards a few times over his hundreds of touches? We had what seemed like a dozen or so of those plus longer ones this year between the stable of guys we have. Now Weisman was plenty effective in the red zone dude found the end zone a ton and he earned every yard he got down there and I loved him for that. But between the 20s he was what he was. I look at that situation in a similar way I do CJ and JR. CJ has made plays JR just can't with both his legs and arm. Doesn't take away from the good things JR did he wasn't all bad by any means. CJ just brings more to the table. I have no ill feelings towards JR or Weisman at all. But Iowa's been better without them...there is a reason Weisman stepped up and filled the roll he did. there have been times in hawkeye history where RBs dropped like flies - i think there is an acronym even for that.......dude should be considered in a better light than he is on this board.
