4 Great Big Ten Teams

With how Wisconsin is dominating Ohio State early in the game tonight, could the Big Ten possibly have 4 Great (a.k.a. Top 10) teams? I'm not saying if Wisconsin wins they will jump into the Top 10 (Iowa and Wisconsin will definitely be top 15), but just in terms of quality.

Or maybe not ANY great teams - but four teams that can beat each other. Iowa, OSU, MSU, Wisconsin. Maybe four "very good" teams.. I think Iowa is as good as any of them. With each of those three at home, I like our chances of winning the Big Ten this year and going to the Rose Bowl..

Wisconsin looks awesome tonight (although there is a lot of football to be played). I still think Iowa is the best in this conference. Hopefully the Iowa D just got outplayed by an unusual offense with a QB they weren't ready for today in the 4th.

The BADgers look great but regardless of the outcome they are going to expend a tremendous amount of energy and emotion tonight and that bodes extremely well for Iowa when they come to Kinnick next Saturday.

An interesting test of the poll bias will be to see how far OSU drops and how far Wisky rises in the polls (if wisky holds up to win), compared to how far Alabama dropped and how far South Carolina jumped up last week.

I think Mich st. and Ohio st, along with Iowa could be in the top 10 after next week, but I still think Mich St. is overrated as is Ohio St.

Michigan State's schedule makes them very appealing. I think they are a very solid team but the scary part is that without playing OSU this year, they are in a position where if they can manage to get by us they control their own destiny and would definitely be in the driver seat for a conference title and potentially an undefeated season.

Kohout got injured (I don't know how bad) and Taylor got dinged.

Wisky's D is pretty dinged again. Definitely a good unit ... but one that is still pretty banged up. As most would predict, that probably implies that they'll be having to rely pretty heavily upon their O to win the Iowa game. I certainly hope that Iowa's D will be up to the challenge.
