I was surprised he was on the list. If Fromm the QB from Georgia has another great year, he could easily win it.

I have absolutely no idea WHY this guy is getting so much play by the media. He played in 7 games last season of which his team lost 4 of them and had ONE good game against a decent opponent (if you can call a 5-7 Vanderbilt team a decent team). The team did better without him. His stats were super-inflated by games against South Alabama and UT-Martin, two lower level programs that lost 13 games between them.

Shea Patterson, premature....hmmm, kind of similar to another guy on his team know as Jim Harbaugh? Fine, give the blue blood fans what they want to hear and UM can enjoy their 8-win seasons.

I mean to be fair he has a great track record at places other than Michigan, they had every right to be excited. But as for now? He's been a definite letdown and needs to turn it around this year or next.
Edit: Honestly after taking a second look at his time at Michigan he looks pretty similar to Ferentz. Beats some great Big Ten opponents that he probably shouldn't, and loses some he probably shouldn't. Only time will tell, but his bowl record isn't that far off right now either...
Double Edit: just realized that this guy has trouble with his in-state little brother too, just like Kirk. This guy has the added trouble of his big brother when he was in the NFL too.

Iowa isn’t a blue blood program and Iowa fans don’t typically expect championships. Kirk Ferentz hasn’t delivered anything close to championships with other teams.Man, I wish 10-win seasons were let downs at Iowa.
