3 Best CFB Stadium Experiences

I approve this message.

I have participated in the wave dozens of times now. I'm lucky enough to be in section 109, very close to the hospital.

I am not exaggerating, that I get a little choked up every single time. Because every single time, I look up and there are kids waving back who have never gotten to experience it before. Kids who are going through terrible times. I hope it helps them even just a little bit.

Kinnick is definitely way up there on the list, But saying there's a definitive top 3 is a stretch. I hate Penn State but having been to a night game whiteout there I have to say that is seriously impressive and should be on any college fan's bucket list. Imagine a night game with 40,000 more people than Kinnick all wearing white under the lights.

I wouldn't recommend spending the money on it this year, though.

The Athletic polled their writers for the best stadiums to create a top 25. Iowa is #28, also receiving votes.

The poll seems dominated by stadiums with pretty views. Appalachian State?

B1G: #2 PSU, #4 OSU, #5 Michigan (HA!), #9 Rose Bowl (a joke 364 days a year), #10 Oregon, #14 Nebraska, #16 Wisky.

Yah, I would have to go somewhere between #1 and #28.
Not #1. Even with limited experience elsewhere. I think I can confidently say not #1.

As for 28? If they polled their writers....I guarantee their writers considered other factors.
The airport they flew in to or the drive they had to make. The hotel they stayed in, or the location of their hotel. How nice was the press room? Did they get free food? How was parking accommodations? What have you.

So, being that I would bet Iowa scores low on travel and is not generally thought of as a wonderful destination in and of itself, if you removed that bias from those writers, I gotta think just inside the top 20. Maybe higher thanks to "The Wave".

Not too big. Not too small. Close proximity. A great blend of old school feel yet with modern comforts. Recognizing tradition and comfort/enjoyment. Not trying to be anything special. Just having the confidence in who you are.

I'm going with #18.

Edit: Nebraska is only #14 because they've spent the last 53 years telling us they're the best fans in the history of ever. Just relentless. At some point we all just shrug and say "whatever" just to get them to stop talking to us.
