The defense made the second coming of Brock Purdy look like Cade McNamara.
linebackers and the d-line held them to 100 yards on the ground. Longest run of the day was 11 yards on a broken play where Purdy scrambled.
The secondary was at the very least...contributing.

ISU outIowa'd Iowa.

138 yards in the air. 100 on the ground.
Held their opponent to mostly field goals.
A pick that lead to almost half their points.
And special teams with a late game long field goal to scratch out a victory.

Christ on a bike. If Grownowski had 138 yards in the air, it would have been a very comfortable win for the Hawks.
