And Patrick McCaffrey is ranked #100

Long Shots for certain, they both are somewhat proficient from long range though

Didn't notice anyone from ISU or Drake

Although Drake Powell is listed at #34

I'm starting to see mock drafts with Payton not even showing in the second round.

My guess is he'll end up being an undrafted free agent. He'll get into a summer league program, maybe geet invited to a fall camp but he's headed to the G League, IMO.

The G League is his most optimistic destination for next season, IMHO. I don't blame the kid for taking his shot, but if he wants to make a living playing hoops for a decade, he is going to have to get on one of those big planes that flies over the ocean.

Aaron White never did the G League thing and has made a nice career overseas, probably set himself up for life.

But most of the Hawks don't give up the NBA dream easily and spend 2-3 years in the G League before finally accepting it's not going to happen and opt for the bigger paychecks overseas.

Payton does have what the NBA wants, he's a 3-point shooter. Question is can he do it consistently at a bit longer distance. I'm sure he's working at it right now.
