2020 strikes again Wisky/NE game is canceled

As I understand it (and maybe I’m wrong), but I read that Wisconsin isn’t at the threshold where the game must be cancelled....and they are cancelling on their own. If so, then it should be counted as a forfeit.

All that would do is incentivize teams to fudge their numbers in order to avoid getting hit with a loss. And on the flip side do you want nebraska (or any other team) getting a win strictly because they had low covid numbers?

For shit's sake people, this season means bupkis. There's going to be more of this and the schedules are going to be hosed at the end of it anyway. Just enjoy the games this year and take it serious whatever year they start having normal schedules again.

The Big Ten just told them that they are not allowed to play winless 1-AA Chattenooga this week. Probably would've been a close one.
I'm pretty sure OSU would be up for a rematch after they play the Penn State game, I wonder what frost would say to that...

"Anytime, anywhere!"

The nebraska fans act mad, but in reality they're overjoyed because they didn't have to watch their 22 skid marks lay an egg on national TV, with the added benefit of the moral "victory" over WI.

Honest question...since HIPAA is involved do we know how these numbers are getting submitted to the league? Not saying any program would do it, but I find it ironic, and in this case the perfect shit storm, that being down to their third string QB they have just enough individuals associated with the team to cancel the game. Again, I'm not saying Wiscy is doing anything shady, but are these confirmed cases, or a situation in which players are quarantined for possible exposure?

I honestly don’t know.

My personal opinion is......any team that cancels without meeting the threshold should have it be counted as a loss/forfeit.
