I guess if we were down to our 4th qb (who even is that?) I'd probably want to cancel this weeks game too. What a shit show....

I was amazed that the Big Ten decided to go ahead and play this fall. They probably should have held their ground and played in the spring. This season is going to be a joke.

Nope, they should have just sacked up and tried to have the season over by mid November because The Germ is gonna crush the Middle West and Northeast this winter.

It's got a huge asterisk next to it to me. I'm taking each game as just it's own individual escape. My expectations aren't going to be anything. Polls mean nothing. Hell they are canceling some bowl games. So this yrs results aren't going to matter. Just develop some key players and let's see if we can get back to any sort of semblance of normal for next yr...

That’s why I wasn’t raging over the Purdue loss. Whatever game action the team gets this year is essentially practice time. There’s a very small chance that the season doesn’t get shut down at this point.

This x 1,000,000.

These games are all exhibitions. Enjoy 'em while they last and for what they are.

It's basically throwing us as fans a bone and televising full-speed practices. If you want to watch full seasons of legit college football you'll have to go watch the SEC and ACC.

Big 8 is playing a full schedule but they're equivalent to NAIA ball and no one wants to watch that garbage.

I am glad that they went ahead and had the season, even if there is a mess like this and there is no champion (maybe). I don't think I could have made it an entire year with Hawk FB.

So honestly what does suspending one game do when players testing positive are out 21 days?

The thing is that every team in the west gets penalized. Not that I have any kind of confidence in Nebby, but Wiscy gets bailed out by not having to go with their third string QB. Nebby gets bailed out of potentially starting 0-2 and losing to that 3rd string QB, and every team in the West who has already lost is not only trying to make up ground, but will be battling for a higher winning percentage. Just dumb.

This is sad. Nebraska fan is now saying they would have destroyed Wisconsin...and Wisky got Covid to avoid them.
LOL!!! Wiscy getting covid to avoid playing Nebby is hilarious. Rather than getting the opportunity to potentially level the playing field, which I'm still not convinced would do it, I could see Nebby's fan base chest thumping about that time they covered the spread against a top 10 team playing a 3rd string QB in addition to being out a number of other players. Poor Nebby.

Wisconsin won't be holding football activities for a week to make sure transmission of the virus stops at these twelve players. Essentially that's what the Titans ended up doing when they had their outbreak.

Wisconsin might end up playing their week 3 opponent, but they will be down those players for 1-2 games.

Chryst has it too.

You know he's done a nice job up there. His winning percentage since he arrived in Madison as HC rivals Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, and Bear Bryant. He is a notch below Saban and the Dabo. But somehow, part of me will always remember him as that fellow seventeen year old trying to get into Platteville college bars back in 1982 and 1983. My wife worked with him at the Platteville Pizza Hut in high school.

Oh, no! Some 20-somethings caught the covid and are gonna feel bad for like, 2 days! Time to grab Gramma and head for the fallout shelter!

21 days? Pshh - These guys will be ready to hit Sunday-Funday.

The weird thing is that Wisconsin could go 5-0, for example, and not be eligible to play in the BTen Championship game, according to BTen rules.

As I understand it (and maybe I’m wrong), but I read that Wisconsin isn’t at the threshold where the game must be cancelled....and they are cancelling on their own. If so, then it should be counted as a forfeit.
