There’s no formula or description of the shame scale other than “football nerds” on staff.

the shame (vertical) scale is based on arrests, graduations, attendance and ....
the icky factor — embarrassing stuff that has nothing to do with the football team that knocks the team down the shame scale.
And in spite of that stupid criteria .... get this ... 3 of the 5 schools involved in the admissions buy-in scandals stayed at or above the shame scale.
