2018 Football Bold Predictions

1. Stanley will have a better year statistically than that douche McSorley (I’ll never forgive him for that punt as time ran out last year, terrible sportsmanship)
2. Iowa will beat someone they shouldn’t beat and everyone will be happy, Iowa will lose to someone like Illinois or Minnesota with about 120 yds total offense.
3) AJE will have 10 sacks.

Our offensive line will be held together by duct tape, baling wire and expanding foam to try and seal the leaks by season's end.

Sorry to rain on our parade but 12 of our 20 offensive lineman on roster are frosh or RS frosh. Bodes well for the future but not this year. Our 3 most experienced reserves are underachievers.

Morgan moves back to coach o-line, Polasek calls the plays and Brian returns to Massachusetts to bring Kraft his morning coffee and keep his liquor cabinet stocked.

I can dream too.

1. ISM returns a kickoff for a touchdown against N. Illinois.
2. No Big Ten team makes the CFP for the second year in a row. Not that there aren't good teams in the conference this year, I just think everyone will beat up on each other and knock the conference out of contention. I think it will be touch for anyone to get through this season with less than two losses. The last two years a two loss Big Ten champ got left out of the playofff.
3. The off the field problems at Ohio St start to take a toll and the Buckeyes lose at least three games. History tends to repeat itself, and Urbans last year at Florida ended with six losses and Urban lost control of that team.

Iowa loses to ISU but turns around and beats Wisconsin on the 22nd. If Iowa goes into the Northwestern game controlling their own destiny in the West.

My bold prediction

Peyten Mansel will be starting over a healthy Nate Stanley by the last regular season game of 2018.

In time I hope Mansell gets a fair shot but I have a sense that Petras is KOK and KF's preference.

Early evidence would suggest that your sense is misguided. However I do still believe that even if Stanley comes back for his Senior year. The QB battle for #2 next year could determine if one of the guys leaves.

1) Iowa goes undefeated. Beats MSU this time in the B1G championship game with a goal line stand.

2) Stanley and Fant get compared to Brady and Gronk all year as their production is off the charts.

3) KF finally settles into a manager role and lets BF run the show. BF brings the Pats offense to the B1G and tears it up.

4) We have 4 players on the 1st team B1G team.

5) We win the National Championship.

If any of these predictions come true even @Fryowa will be too hyped not to attend at least two. Maybe you should share some of your season tickets with him ;)
