I hope he 'does' come here and teat it up right away and give us great depth and a solid rotation, but even if he doesn't, we are in pretty good shape at DE, trust me....

Lomax was hurt for two games and when he came back he couldn't get his job back. So, King beat him out for the position as a true freshman. Have you seen the commercial...write it down...Lomax did. Daniels earned a spot rotating in at the guard spot, with players that are two or three years older than him. Bulaga did the exact same thing. Hell, Vandenburg played as a true freshman as receiver against older players. Why be such a douche...typical internet tough guy who thinks his opinion is superior and we should "trust him" because he knows so much. What an idiot message board douche you are Icke. There's precedent for freshmen coming in and supplanting older players. It happens all the time. Next time I'll use no hyperbole since you can't comprehend it. By the way, Nelson should make sure he starts at Iowa before he tries to beat out AJ at his high school...since he hasn't done that yet. We will have to wait a year to see how this pans out, but I'd be willing to bet you AJ doesn't redshirt.

Like I said, douche, I was exaggerating when I said they would be out of work. And you just jumped all over that and are clinging to your argument. The point I was making was that AJ and Van Ginkle, if we get them...get playing time...and push the starters. You think AJ likely redshirts and I disagree. And I can almost assure you that Van Ginkel is not coming here. If you read and watched the story about recruiting, they have limits on how many scholarships they give per 'group' or position, and with the class they had come in this year, and commitments from AJ and Duwa, they are full at that position. Van Ginkel wouldn't 'push' Hesse and the Nelsons (Matt or Anthony) for playing time anyway as they are better than he is. How many people do you think play, minus injuries?
 


Not many freshman come in and take away spots from older guys at iowa. But isn't AJ one of the highest rated guys we've ever had? I would say that increases the odds of him doing it a bit.

You are such an idiot. You make these comments like you know these things to be true. It's your opinion jackass. Van Ginkle wouldn't push these guys, seriously. Watch his tape...my opinion is that he will. And I get we now have several DE's either on the roster or signed, but I get the impression Iowa is still recruiting him because I've seen no posts to the contrary or articles saying, "Iowa is no longer recruiting me". As for AJ, you said in a post that it's possible he could redshirt and that he wouldn't freak out if he did, or that he only plays significant time if there are injuries. Or that his dad is prepping him to keep his expectations in check. I think you are wrong. I think he's on the depth chart early and is a part of the rotation for the first game. My OPINION. You act like you know the everything as fact...they are opinions moron and yours is no different...it's not fact...so get off your mom's lap and act like a man. I knew his dad. I now the coaches. I know a bunch of the players, and I have experience in this field, thus my 'opinion' is INFORMED. Your 'opinion' is entirely based on emotion and obviously uninformed (like Van Ginkel's film or him coming here) thus you are ignorant. I think Rob has figured out who the 'problems' are on here, as it is a few 'insecure' children who are always attacking and name calling anyone who challenges their 'uniformed' beliefs. harlan.png

I think he is...and yeah...I thought his highlight film was freaking impressive and he didn't do it against AJ's high school team either. I get why he's thinking about Iowa and the depth that's showing up now at the DE position, but I'm hoping his desire to play for Iowa wins out. Iowa would take him in MY OPINION regardless of who we have signed. Look at the people who want him...although they may not be as "INFORMED" as you. What an idiot.

I will not be responding to you in the future. You have serious issues (aside from the fact that you have almost no reading comprehension skills) that you should get help with or you are just extremely immature and you may grow out of it. Either way, I don't have time for losers like yourself. The majority have figured out that I put out really good and credible information and I will continue to do so as it becomes available, and continue to start threads giving my 'informed' views, but I will not waste my time anymore with the cretins like yourself and a few others. It was fun for a while getting you simpletons to cry, curse, and carry-on, but it has become quite monotonous....The vast majority on here who don't have your 'issues' do care about what I post and why I get so much info..........You can go back to your worthless, miserable existence now, I'm through with you.....

Here's WinOneThisCentury "talking crap" about players. Thinking a player will be better than another player is "talking crap" now. I guess it's best to just say every position race will be a tie. Someone needs to quit hiding behind his excuse of only calling out people who rip on coaches and players and admit he just rips on everyone for having an opinion.
