2012 recruiting: Lots of promise but a bit more competition

What Fufred said is technically correct. Parents want a coach who protects their son. I wont argue with that statement. Whether some parents have spoken out on that, I dont know as I dont pay any attention to O$U recruiting.
Now, whether parents want a coach who "Lies" to protect their son is a different story. At this time, O$U will continue to do well in recruiting. They have a lock on most Ohio recruits based on their history and that is enough to do well. They will also get other top level recruits. If Tressel is fired, that could change for next year but the new coach will have all built in advantages. Only thing that would hurt their recruiting is an NCAA ban on postseason games and I doubt that will happen.

Hahaha....kids that have offers from OSU and Iowa opt for OSU what maybe 90% of the time? That ratio wont change much. OSU's recruiting class will be 18-20 probably, 13-15 of those kids will be from Ohio, Iowa wont be a factor.

tOSU hasn't locked down the Cincinnati area. Admittedly, in most places, tOSU will hold a substantial edge. However, Iowa doesn't rely on getting a ton of guys out of Ohio anyway. Thus, if we can get even one guy out of tOSU's back yard (who holds a tOSU offer) ... that is still a bit of coup.

Iowa's gains in the state of Ohio don't have to be huge for it to make a big positive impact for us.

Lastly, I see that you've conveniently quit talking about "spinning" or sweeping statements. I see that maybe your reading comprehension is improving.
