Was really hoping for Iowa v Neb to start being 2:30 on the Friday after Thanksgiving..
If that's the case then it's probably for the best but it would still be fun as hell.
Without a doubt. I would like to see it but I think both administrations aren't keen on the idea. Just look at the 2010 game. There's a YouTube vid out there of some tool ISU fan dancing on top of a bus and hundreds of beer cans, empty and full, are being hurled at him.

This. 2:30 and night games are the marquee games. These are good games to have, it means the Hawks are playing in big time meaningful games.
I actually greatly prefer the 2:30 slot to any other time. Perfect amount of tailgating, also tailgating through the lunch hour, you are still able to catch night games, the commute is better, and I just like it more.
I will say I also enjoy being at an eastern time zone game at 2:30/3:30 est time slot (OSU, Mich, PSU, etc.). That seems to be a pretty good time to start a game too.
.I agree but would the level of drunkenness really be that much different for a night Iowa State game versus any other game? It's still a college football game in Iowa City with ample time for drinking.
.
The ISU night game was a mess. I'm pretty sure it will probably never be played at night again. At least not in Iowa City.
Nebraska at 11AM is in our best interest. Only game on that day, at that time, most likely national, worst case scenario, national regional.
We could get two night games, mostly predicated on BTN, and if we get on ESPN/ABC; also predicated on our success.
I have nothing to actually link to but I have heard stories that the '02 game was filled with a lot of drunkenness and debauchery before the game.
