Hey, does anyone know if they have said, or hinted which game may be the night game? Im guessing PSU game? Nebby would be a pretty cool(no pun intended) night game but thats prolly a 230. Just gonna make a vacation pick to make sure I have it off. thanks

Assuming the no night games in November rule is still in tact than it wouldn't be Nebraska. The Iowa State game should be a night game. That'd be fun.

yeah I agree with the ISU game. I was at the 02 game with a bunch of buddies and it was a drunkin mess. Ended with my buddy on top of my folks explorer as we pulled out of the parking lot, not such a good idea. of course thats before I was married with kids and was able to use my season tickets to each game. I think a 5pm late sept kick is the perfect kick. Pretty sure thats what the 03 ASU game time was and it was AWESOME. Sun going down, cooled off. AWESOME! Is it official that the B1G doesnt allow November night games? I know its been talked about ABUNCH, but I dont take time to read all the threads. If so, why?

Since the B1G does not play night games in November the following are the options:

9/8 ISU- not going to happen
9/15 UNI- no
9/22 Central Michigan- no
9/29 Minnesota- only shot would be a BTN night game
10/20 PSU- possible for BTN or ABC/ESPN

Weird the Hawks are only in Kinnick once in the month of October. I would think the BTN would pick Iowa for 1 night game if ABC/ESPN passes on the Iowa/PSU game. My guess would be a 6 PM kickoff for the Iowa/PSU game on BTN.

Also the Iowa/NU game was an 11 AM kickoff last year so I wouldnt be surprised if that is the case again this year.

I agree with Section136 that PSU or Minnesota are the likely candidates. If I had to wager, it'd be on Minnesota. That's the typical kind of game that ends up as BTN 6pm.

ABC had already committed the post-Thanksgiving 230 slot to another game (Big East, I think) when the Iowa/Nebraska game was moved to that day. The Nebraska game has usually been on 230 on that day, and would expect it to be this year.

It's pretty much a given that the Nebraska game the day after Thanksgiving will be an 11:00 a.m. kickoff. Though it could be moved to 2:30 if it is for the division championship. Even then it is probably a long-shot.

I hope there are no night games in Kinnick next season (or ever).

Why would you EVER say that?!?!?! Night games are SO much better! To me it "feels" more like a big time game. And I thought about the MN game too....maybe Ill just take em both off to be sure!

My dad feels the same way as 83. He wants every game at 11 AM. Not everybody is going to love night games.

haha, well, there in lies the problem. Those dudes are old! They just cant stay up late enough! ha ha. My son is almost 5 and I took him to his 1st game for the monsoon. He LOVED it, me not so much. Actually thats not true. It was a day I'll never forget. My son sharing my love for the hawks, and willing to stand in the pouring rain to watch them was a great feeling. Im actually choking up a little thinking about it. I remember my 1st game with my dad, back when we still had astroturf and it was raining also...If your son loves it so much, he's willing to be in the rain like that to watch, he's a keeper! I cant wait to take him to his 1st night game, but he may need to be quite a bit older for that one! ha ha

If you want all games to be 11AM than you must also want Iowa to suck. Big games and big name programs play in prime time. FACT.

PSU or Minny will be the night game. I'm hoping for Minny. (homecoming)

This. 2:30 and night games are the marquee games. These are good games to have, it means the Hawks are playing in big time meaningful games.
I actually greatly prefer the 2:30 slot to any other time. Perfect amount of tailgating, also tailgating through the lunch hour, you are still able to catch night games, the commute is better, and I just like it more.
I will say I also enjoy being at an eastern time zone game at 2:30/3:30 est time slot (OSU, Mich, PSU, etc.). That seems to be a pretty good time to start a game too.

Night games are fun when I'm there but I like the 11:00 games when watching at home. I love waking up and turning on the game right away.

ISU would be nice but both ADs in lesser words pretty much stated that they will never agree to another night game. Way too much drunkenness and rowdiness. They like to have it at 11:00 so that they can keep the drinking at a minimal and then kick everybody out after the game. I was shocked the 2010 game was a 2:30 kick. It'll probably come down to Minny and PSU. Minny is homecoming and the last weekend in September so the weather should be pretty nice, even at night. My vote would be Minny.

I would put my money on Minnesota on 9/29 as a 6pm BTN game. But Central Michigan could be a possibility as the BTN has to put some night game on that weekend too. Penn State is possible but that matchup has lost some luster.

I hope we don't do a night kick for a Non-AQ team. Night games should be saved for conference foes or at least non-conference BCS teams.

My schedule preferences:

No. Ill- at Soldier Field- tailgate heaven...2:30 kickoff, please.
ISU- 5:00
UNI- 11: 00
Central Mich.- 11:00
Minny- 6:00 - cooler weather.
PSU- 7:00 - Nits coming from east coast...they will be sleepy the 2nd half!
Purdue- 2:30- big game vs big rival!
Neb- 2:30- Must get this game into the prime slot of the day.

Thats right, only two of 7 home games kicking off at 11 oclock.
Two at 2:30
then at 5,6 and 7 oclock....

nice variety.

Our opponent doesn't have to be marque name to make it a night game. BTN puts some pretty crappy match-ups on prime time especially in non-conf.
