Good to see Iowa kids fairly well represented. Surprised Moreno didn't lose some ground after getting stomped by Tsirtsis. Moreno looked really good for one period then decided to take a whole bunch of awful shots. Also good to see Bevins jump into the rankings after beating Goergen. Bevins is an example of what heavies would look like if the good ones wrestled and didn't go on to play football like he is planning to. Just physically impressive, especially compared to Goergen who is a true roly poly.
After the Dream Team classic though, I am not sold on Devin Petersen. He had to get a reversal with under 10 seconds left to win that match. Phillips is not bad, but he was no where near Ross Larson. I would have killed to see Larson go up against Petersen. I think the UW recruit could have had his shoulders stuck to the mat. Larson could be a freakish get for OU when he is concentrating on wrestling only.
