Yep, really should not have lost a game.
KF really should have benched JC before the end of 2007. Had Stanzi been given more live action he likely would have been more accustomed to contact. It was his basic lack of ability to hold onto the ball that killed Iowa that year.
That was a top 5 team in the country by the end of the season. I honestly would have given Iowa at least a 50/50 shot against Florida or OU by seasons end. Looking at that roster now I don't think that is even a bold statement.
A few thoughts after watching that game,
1. KF stop being so conservative, Purdue had no business getting back in that game.
2. Was anyone ever held more consistently than Mitch King that year? Its almost like the refs just had to either ignore it or call it on every play and so they ignored it.

That was great football weather. Pudue was way better than their record. KF way too conservative. Shonn Greene is a Man among boys. That was a good Iowa D.
