2007 Michigan St game

I don't see how we won with a quarterback that only completed 5 passes for the game.
It was good to see Clayborn play as a freshman.

Jake was just so bad it was pathetic.

Part of me wants to forget and never think about that trainwreck of a season ever again, and part of me is still trying to wrap my head around the utter disgrace that was our offense that year.

That was the first game to which I took my future in laws. My finace, her parents, an I drove up for the weekend from Nashville, TN and partied pretty hard Friday night and Saturday morning. My parents came down to Iowa City from Minneapolis to join in the festivities. At the game, we sat in the southeast endzone in the visitor's section with all the MSU fans. Not a bad group of folks. I enjoyed their enthusiasm. The first half was pretty ugly. I went to have a smoke with my future father in law at halftime and he remarked that he loved the stadium and the atmosphere, but the Hawks were playing pretty craptastic. Anyway, in the 3rd quarter, Ferentz ripped into the refs for a good 2 minutes and the crowd just went nuts for the rest of the game. Then Albert Young and Damien Simms went nuts. Christensen looked lost out there, but made that critical TD pass in overtime, and yes it was awesome to see Clayborne and Christian Ballard get their first big reps in a critical part of the game. I made a mental note of both of them. Anyway, one hell of a game and Saturday night...

That was a very young defense. Clayborn, Edds, Hunter, Greenwood, Fletcher.
They played fairly well. They deserved better than JC. Thats for sure.

In the 2nd half, KOK finally let Albert Young will the team to victory. It was a fun game in an otherwise disappointing season.
