Was watching this on BTN recently and in addition to the unbelievable number of future pros and pro bowlers playing in that game two quotes stood out. First they were raving about the USC true freshman wide receiver, Mike Williams, that won all the awards (frosh all america, all pac 10, etc.) and tore it up his frosh year, had all the physical stats, etc. Shortly after that they were raving about Bob Sanders and one of the announcers observed (almost word for word) "its a shame he's not a couple of inches taller, b/c he would have a career in the NFL." The other guy chimes in with "I think he'll still make it b/c he's so good on special teams." Of course Williams flames out as a lazy first round bust and Sanders ends up NFL D player of the year. You can't blame them for not pegging Sanders as a future NFL star - not many folks did - but it is interesting to see that the 5'9 guy ended up a superstar and the other guy has to find a real job.
