for your reading pleasure.....1)sat in the south endzone for mich state game....4-5 intoxicated mich state students sitting in row behind us....10 minutes before gametime, one of the students scoots by me to get to the aisle....when he gets to me, i ask, "what is your boy ruckers number?"....i did not have a program nor did anyone near me nor am i mich state fan so i wouldnt know his number....mich state student gets in my face and says, "WHAT NUMBER IS YOUR BOY CLAYBORN WHO PUNCHED A TAXI DRIVER LAST SUMMER AND IS PLAYING?". lol...at that time, my wife grabbed my arm to prevent a beating. he didn't say another word to me the rest of the day and prolly was too intoxicated to remember the exchange. thought it was funny he was comparing the two incidents....especially since clayborn's was a simple assault (simple misd.) and happened two years ago.

2) end of 1st qrtr, i run down to restroom. in line, 4 people in front of me there is a mich state student minding his own business, causing no problems. a heavily intoxicated iowa fan...mid 20's...walks out by him and proceeds to throw a piece of toilet paper on mich state student and says, "i pi$$ed on it too". i called the dude an a**hole. he mumbled something to me which i couldnt understand and he left the restroom.

nothing out of the ordinary at kinnick....was the only negative part of the day for me. GO HAWKS!

Welp thatll happen. MSU fans were really defensive on the Rucker subject. They are Dbags just like Danfonio.

Not sure what you expected the reaction to be when asking about Rucker. If the shoe were on the other foot, I'd fully expect Hawk fans to be defensive about it as well

I had a couple MSU fans sit by me. They were a couple, man and woman early 40's I'd say. They were the nicest people I've ever met.
Of coarse they didn't have anything to cheer about.
But for the most part everyone around us was courteous to them and I think they came away thinking the Iowa fans were good people.

It was about noon last Saturday. My buddy Wayne and I was out picking up empty beer cans and had 3 big garbage bags full....about $11!!! Well we put the cans in the back of the van and started walking down Melrose about an hour before the game sharing a 12 pack of Keystone light. All of a sudden this lady cop (She was kinda hot!!) came up and told me to pour it out. I poured it out and walked about another 10 yards and opened another. Well this pig followed me and by now had a big fat cop with her and they proceeded to grab the 12 pack and threw me and Wayne down. I wasn't hurting anyone! They took us to the Johnson county jail. I had a cell right next to Dan McCarneys daughter. She has been in there for almost 2 years...I couldn't believe it! I called my step sister Becky to come get us out. She was drunk at Billys Hoist House in Clarence so she couldn't come get us until Sunday morning. I am going to sue the Iowa city Police for harrassment. I wasn't hurting anyone.

And oh yea...Me and Wayne are looking for tickets to the OSU game. We will change your oil and clean your gutters for a pair of tickets.

I only had one encounter with extra drunk guy on Saturday at the MSU game. It was an Iowa fan and he was very well lubricated...slurring his speech and dropping f-bombs about every other sentence. The cursing doesn't really bother me so I didn't say anything to him, but I don't like to hear it because it might upset others in the area.

There was a nice older couple seated next to him who I overheard say it was their first time at a game in Kinnick in like 10 years. They didn't seem like the type that would appreciate the language, but they seemed to be taking it in stride. Drunk guy was encouraging the old guy and his lady friend to get into it and yell when our defense was on the field and seemed to be getting kind of upset that old guy wasn't necessarily playing along.

A short while later I hear drunk guy ranting about how much he f-ing hates Hawkeye fans and I assume it's because old guy won't play along and yell with him, so I turn around and tell him to cut the old guy a break and cool it with the f-bombs. He informs me that he's ticked because the people behind him threatened to get security if he doesn't stop standing on the seats because he's blocking their view. He proceeds to pout and sit while everyone else is standing while sarcastically stating that he doesn't want to block anybodys view of the game and then completely misses the Sash to Hyde pick 6 because he was being a baby.

all joking aside, keystone. as long as you are making things up you couldn't come up with a better brew?

I didn't have any problems at the MSU game, and none against Wisky, though I did have an experience that made me laugh.

On A-Rob's run against Wisky where he dove for the pylon and came up short, I was at the section entrance right on the goalline, and knew he was short and the review would prove it. I moved over to the next section (was told I couldn't be where I was taking pictures), and there was an older, fat, drunk Hawk fan right by the section entrance going on about "how can you say he was short, it wasn't even close!" I looked over and told him that I was right on the goalline when he dove, and that A-Rob was just short. The guy started chewing my a** out about it. I couldn't help but laugh in front of him.

hawkfan8691: what did i expect when asking mich state "what number is rucker?"????? i expected a civil response. how about, "he wears #29."? maybe that was too much to expect. it amazes me how some fans seem to loose their minds and act like fools after a pregame cocktail. it seems like when fans enter a stadium, be it kinnick, jack trice, or wherever, they seem to lose their moral compass. cheer for your team and have a good team but don't be an a**hole.

dexter: so that was you that had to spout off to me and was about 2 seconds away from going to the johnson county hilton? if you only knew.

I was working at the casino last friday before the MSU game, and we usually have alot of fans from the opposing team. Anyways there were probaly a dozen MSU fans that had to be tossed because they were being incredibly drunk and obnoxious at the tables.
