2 Night games at Kinnick in 2015

Just read where that Pitt at IOWA on September 19 and
Minnesota at Iowa on November 14 are BOTH going to be played under the
lights at Kinnick Stadium.

Hopefully, it's a winner for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

How do you like it, sports fans?

Iowa had to do something to make the 2015 home schedule more interesting.

The day of the Pitt game, there must be a ton of home games in the BigTen because BTN has 2 games at 7pm that day.

Night game on Nov 14 seems a little late in the year for a night game. I guess the no night games in Nov rule, while never an official rule, but strongly encouraged, is pretty much gone now.

That ought be a warm one....nothing better than watching mediocre football in 30 degree temps with night winds in Nov in Iowa....and makes me think that Barta's lobbying to the B1G for a night game so he could get more butts in the seats, might of backfired. http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/iowa-city-ia/52240/november-weather/328802

Ever been to Lambeau Field, the second (to Kinnick) greatest football venue in history, in November and December? Try to buy a ticket sometime, night, early afternoon, late afternoon. Get out your visa card. I will bundle up as necessary and watch the Hawks get even with the goofers in November.

I'll just leave this here. Tell me you're not pumped after viewing.

Yeah, I was at every single one of those games and they got me totally pumped ... 6 - 10 years ago.

Unfortunately, the pain of the last night game in Kinnick - the 2012 ***-kicking by Penn State - still lingers. (When I say the pain, I literally mean, they beat Iowa up so badly I felt it.)

I can't say Pitt and Minny get me all stoked but at least they should be competitive and have a decent chance to win. Baby steps, I guess and just have to accept that, until Hawks are relevant again, losers can't be choosers.

Agree completely, this will help sell tickets. Sally on the way out ... resume the night games.

LOL. Anyone stupid enough not to be able to see through this amateur level smoke screen probably still rides the short bus.

Instead of Barta DEMANDING better from Kirk and his yes men assistants to put a better product out on the field goes out and gets a couple night games in a pathetic attempt to drive - lagging - ticket sales and the compound dwellers eat it up as Barta doing such a better job.

What you say may, or may not, be true. I am fine with GB doing whatever he can at this point to increase ticket sales; that is, after all, a large part of his responsibilities. And, the bigger the crowds, the more fans cheering for the Hawks and hopefully, pumping up the players. Also, GB has been criticized for NOT landing some night games in the past. Facts are facts: We have two night games in 2015. Good for the team, good for the fans. That is all that really matters to me.

Ugh. Night games in November may be brutal.

Hot Chocholate and Peppermint Schnapps, Coffe and Baily's, Warm Apple Cider and Caramel Vodka...One million ways to stay warm during your all day tailgate. For me Saturdays are all about the tailgate, friends and family and with night games we get 10 hourse to do it and not 2....sooo much better!!!!
