2 defensive starters hardly played, yet tackling a concern

Jewell hardly played and Hesse played 5 of the first 10 minutes so that had to affect the defense. At the same time I did not think the hawks were tackling, driving thru ball carriers and wrapping them up like last year. There were many times where Miami's runners were able to go through tacklers or spin loose for 2-3 extra yards. These extra yards hurt all day. Let's see if this improves by tacklers driving thru runners.

Anthony Nelson was impressive...he gets off blocks really well by using his long arms to get to the offensive tackle first. It seems Matt Nelson is more concerned about dancing with the offensive tackle rather than shaking him loose and getting by him. I thought he did a nice fox trot, but his rumba was a pretty weak. You aren't getting the the QB by going through the offensive tackle in a bull rush every time. He sets the edge well, but we need pressure on third down...especially when the coaching staff is playing the game the way they did...straight up...no Raider package, no blitzes...that was interesting...and seemed developmental in our approach.
