Basabe was unstoppable, even Woodbury was scoring. Then FM brought the 2nd string in and Basabe became an after thought.

I know every coach has his own philosophy, but when a guy is just in a zone like Basabe was, I wouldn't take him out unless he got hurt or begged to be taken off the floor.

. People were saying White should get in the paint more, but it won't be long before he gets double teamed (especially next year with Marble gone) he is gonna need to kick it out and players will need to hit the shot to open things.

Including his own jump shot, White creates easy opportunities for him when he nails a shot or 2 on the perimeter. But I agree, next year Iowa will need shooters hitting the shot on the kick outs and be ready to shoot instead of passing up wide open looks.

It baffles my why Fran got away from the inside game in the 2nd half. I only remember a couple of times they went to Basabe on the inside, he missed the basket but got to the line and hit 2 free throws and Woodbury never attempted his left handed bank shot that he made 3 times in the first half. Iowa had a size advantage on the inside and did not take advantage of it after half time. It looked like Fran tried to rely on Marble to get the job done and he was getting double teamed.

Iowa beats UM at Carver. Will be a total different ballgame. Not worried.
