2-10 from 3 pt range

In this day and age that's most likely not going to cut it in college basketball ... not enough production = 67 pts

Yeah, Iowa doesn't need to shoot like Creighton did against Villanova, but they can't be making only 2 threes and expect to win at Michigan or MSU.

not enough attempts either... 3pt shooting is such a weapon in college basketball.

Michigan didn't shoot great either but they made 8 of them... that's an 18 pt differential.

I agree, Oglesby misses his first one so he does not even look to shoot another. I do not recall Gesell attempting one either.

Michigan shut down our shooting guards.
They gave White the outside look, because he hadn't made one, yet.

White has a good looking shot. All three looks were good shots, just didn't fall.

Oglesby and Gesell gotta take a few more shots.

We are so dang close, another reason why the losses hurt so much.

I disagree. When we had limited shots, we took them. Michigan did a great job on D to stop it. If you're on michigan, they did a great job because they were open. We really didn't have those same opportunities. They shot a lot of open shots. We didn't. Simple as that. The matchup zone did a great job in the late second half. We'll see these guys in a couple of weeks at home. We'll see how that goes for them.

With as effective Basabe/Woody were in the first half, I certainly was hoping it would have created more opportunities in the outside game but we quit feeding the post.

Basabe played one of his best halves of basketball last nite. He was a monster in the first half.

This was the exception rather than the rule. The game plan was clearly to attack them inside. Take care of the defensive glass and eliminate the unforced turnovers and we likely win...IMO.

Iowa was dominant in the paint early.. Then there was a stretch later in the first half where I thought Iowa started taking too many quick jump shots, and Michigan went on a run. Take the 3's if they are there, but don't force them.

Iowa had some good looks though where they were half way down and back out, just a hair long, etc. Really wasn't our night from outside like it was against Minnesota on Sunday.

Woodbury also had a good game. When he fouled and heard the whistle in the 2nd half he hammered the guy to make sure the shot did not get up to the rim. That's how it's done in the Big 10...maximum of 2 points should be the rule.

. People were saying White should get in the paint more, but it won't be long before he gets double teamed (especially next year with Marble gone) he is gonna need to kick it out and players will need to hit the shot to open things.
