I'm not sure what kind of shot we really have, but this kid could wind up being a monster. He already knows how to use his body in the post and understands angles really well. You can tell his dad was power forward in the NBA and has taught him well.

I like what he says about it being a family. I think Fran has done a very good job in that regard. Keeping former players close to the program and having that family type atmosphere is great for recruiting.

I don't think the kid is blowing smoke. I got the sense that he really enjoyed it here. That doesn't mean he'll end up here. He's got some great opportunities and more to come. We'll see.

Getting this kid would me another feather in Fran's cap. First he got Cook, then he battled the likes of Louisville, Georgetown, Indiana, and Notre Dame to get Garza. He locked Wieskamp up early, and now is working on a monster 2019 class. Things are gonna be fun at Carver for the next few years for sure.

I think Izzo will end up being the biggest threat when it's all said and done. To get a player of this caliber you have to get on him early so at least we're in a good position with him and not fighting from behind.
