Well, let's see - Fran hasn't had a regular rotation guy transfer out of the school in 7 years. 7 years, that's like nearly impossible in today's college basketball world. For 7 years, Iowa hasn't had to plug and play or fill holes from guys departing. I think there's a lot to think about in that. 1. Fran must be an excellent communicator in what he expects and what the players should expect and 2. They want to be here, they want to play here and they love it here. 3. Think about the guys who HAVE left? They all likely saw the writing on the wall and were never going to be big contributors. They haven't gone on to other places and exploded and turned out good. NONE of them talked any trash about Iowa or the coaching staff on their way out.
I LOVE THE IOWA HOOPS PROGRAM.... it's mind blowing where it's come from. Maybe it had to implode to get back here where I think it's as healthy as it's been since the 80's.
