Doesn't even matter if it was out of bounds. You can't call a timeout if you don't have possession of the ball. If she threw the ball inbounds before the timeout, it should have been a turnover.

Gabbie Marshall was the leading scorer with 22 points, Monika Cziano had 19 points, Doyle had 14 points and 9 assists, including several clutch plays to get it to overtime.

The bad call all that out of bounds play, and the no call when Monika was fouled were both at critical junctures in the overtime.

Hawks were just to loose with the ball. There were bad calls, but the offensive boards (20+) and the turnovers were deadly and the refs didn't call much. The foul on Warnock was clearly an over the back foul on Rutgers, but you don't get that call when you don't battle and for large parts of the game we were pretty passive. Hope they learn and it's on to the tournament...

I didn't see the whole game but there's a couple of things that stood out to me. Refs for 1. Lol The announcer has been pushing hard for Arella G. for Rutgers to win the POY the last several weeks so I was ready for her pumping up Rutgers. I thing you can always count on with a Lisa B. coached team is TO's. Very sad when you make 23 and the worst part is 15 were made by your seniors. How can you explain that. When push comes to shove (like Rutgers was doing today) we fold sooooooo easy. I lay the blame on Lisa. I know Monika is just a sophomore but she needs to get tougher on the block. Fouls are a problem for her but not on the offensive side. A pass needs to be perfect for her to catch it. If it's offline a bit it looks like her feet are stuck to the floor. Just doesn't have the agility to move her feet. Just reaches for it instead of stepping towards it. Oh well on to the B1G tourney and hopefully the Hawks will play better. Go Hawks! Forgot to give kudos to Gabbie on her 22 point performance. Knocked down 6 threes! Been waiting for her to come alive and she sure did this afternoon. Congrats Gabbie!

This one is clearly on the refs. If they just get a few of those terrible calls right in a game that is so close, the better team would have won. Iowa is clearly the better team.

Refs were bad but so were 23 TOs by the Hawks. 23 is not acceptable if your supposed to be a winning team. Hopefully they can put this behind them and not let this 1 game ruin the rest of the season. By the way we got out rebounded 43-30. Rutgers had 13 second chance points. Those 2 things (TO and rebounds) killed us.
I'm pretty sure they aren't going to let the last game of the regular season that was almost completely meaningless, ruin their post season.

Thanks for being in the know. I feel so much better now. By the way it wasn't almost meaningless. When you want to host the NCAAs it means something.

Just win 2 or 3 games in the big 10 tournament where Iowa has not lost a single game in two seasons, then Iowa will host. It seems like the tournament games have a slightly higher quality of officiating.

Do you think today killed Kathleen's POY? I heard conversations that today would probably decide it. I sure hope it didn't take it away from her. Kathleen didn't have a very good game but Arella G. didn't have a spectacular one either.

Kathleen Doyle is the best player in who was 1 assist away from another double double, she is the obvious choice for big 10 player of the year!

I think she's the best player also but I'm biased as heck! My fingers are crossed for her to win it.
