Rob, with the big need of OL in this class there's only 2 listed in your top 25. Where does Zach Ross of Dowling stand with the Hawks?

He was back here for junior day after visiting a few times in the fall. He's definitely on their board. I'm just not sure where. Coaches are very deliberate when it comes to evaluating O-Linemen.

So Iowa State offers every offensive lineman, defensive lineman, and running back we offer now?

Pretty much. Unlike with Rhoads where we offered different kids, Campbell is willing to mix it up, in state and out.

Iowa might go a little lighter on OL this year. My understanding is there are 3 they really like for 19 that they sit very good with 2 from Iowa and 1 from ILL. All 3 are seen as good OT prospects. All 3 are viewed as being better than any local products for 18 at this point I think.

They've offered Tyler Endres and Ezra Miller. I think Putnam, the kid from Illinois, is more of a guard prospect but still really good. Quinn Carroll would be great and we were in early, but like with Putnam, the competition is really stiff.

Understand we can't get'm all but our record for nabbing the #1 rated in-state prospect has not been good as of late. According to 247 Iowa's top rated in-state prospect has gone elsewhere in 6 of the last 7 years. Levi Paulsen being the win and Martin, Raridon, Pierschbacher, Campos, Darboh, and French being the losses.

Hope Waggoner choses Iowa but the trend is not our friend.
