12 days until tip off!!!

I am more stoked about this season than any other in recent memory. Probably more than Brunner et al final season.

It is only 12 days until the first tip. Someone please tell me I am not going to have to miss the first 5 out of 6 games!?! It is on Gamewatch, how much $$ is that?? There is a link to a subscription fee of $120/year, or $80/year for your school... Can't they at least offer an annoying ads stream with the games???

How is this promoting Iowa Basketball? If it were free to watch on the internet, for say fans in Arizona and recruits in Maryland, wouldn't that promote Iowa bball a little bit more than a subscription charge?

Regardless, I will never pay some internet charge, forget it, it isn't happening. That said, even if I were to pay the subscription, I would have to go to some place with the bandwidth to watch the game, as I do not have the speed to watch it with any quality, unfortunately. Yes, I need to move or hope that 4G gets here with my cell provider. It is either that OR go to work and watch it, yay that sounds wonderful... Think the bosses would mind us bringing in a couch and mini-frig? ;)

I never thought I would say it, but I actually miss greedy Sinclair and their broadcasting.

There is a lot to be excited about.

Last year the Hawks were horrible at the begining of the season and looked like they would be lucky to win one game. This year we have depth and experience and should be at or above the level of play from the end of last season if everyone is healthy.

Go Hawks!!!!

I can do 12 days standing on my head....

Sure hope the BTN steps up to the plate and makes the games available on TV or at least streaming live. One can pay $10 monthly to watch games for individual schools, but it doesn't appear that they all will be available for live streaming. Kind of a slap in the face for Hawk fans.

I'm pretty sure you get the live streams. I subscribed last year, and got all the Iowa games last year. Hooked the computer up to the projector, and watched them on a 10' screen!

Thanks, Dean, my son's new laptop has an HDMI port so it should be as easy as pie to watch in HD, hopefully, that is....

I can't find the upcoming schedule on BTN, but I am sure it will be available as the season approaches....

:)

Thanks for sharing this information. Have been bummed the past couple of seasons with even fewer basketball games on television ...

I haven't seen anything about business feeds, anyone have any idea one? I like Jack's idea on the HDMI out port from the computer to an HD tv. Like I mentioned, I don't have the bandwidth and won't for most of the season, at least....
BUT I would imagine a good watering hole, like say The Front Row or Johnnys, would have the bandwidth. I'd buy a beverage to watch the Hawks! Maybe even two. ;) Hopefully there are no restrictions or huge cost markups that would make it prohibitive for businesses. They already pay a lot extra to have the BTN on their tvs...
I really do want to watch the Hawks...even vs. NWCMissouriJC!

Does anyone know if the BTN2Go service will have the games that are online, or will the games only be through the Big Ten Digital Network?
