12/2 Iowa Bowl Projection

If Iowa ends up playing Baylor, they might just move RG3 ahead of Luck in the draft order. ;)

Absolutely the worst case scenario.

A few weeks ago I would have agreed with you. But Iowa has actually done quite well against the mobile QB this year. Our Dline seems to be pretty good at the bull rush and staying in their lanes. For whatever reason it seemed like the pocket passer gave Iowa the most fits this year.

You give Norm Parker & KF 3 weeks to prepare I think Iowa would give Baylor a good game.

on ESPN they were talking about BCS matchups, as it stands now by current rule there is no way possible for the SEC can get a 3rd team in a BCS game
the rules state that 2 and only 2 teams from the same conference can make a BCS game
it was discussed this past summer about the POSSIBILITY of changing this but the ramification of doing this are to great as lawsuits from non BCS qualifiers would pop up

No way the Cotton Bowl passes on Oklahoma or OK State. K State will play in the Alamo Bowl.

If Baylor wins this weekend then they will play in the Insight. If Baylor loses this weekend then they will play in the Holiday. Texas will play in the Insight or Holiday as well.

Missouri and A&M are done for the year. I would have thought A&M had a shot at the Meineke bowl but now that they've fired Sherman, Missouri will play there.

New Era Pinstripe. This is a tricky one and its based solely on where Iowa falls. If we fall to the Texas bowl then there will likely be a side deal that sends Iowa State to this bowl and A&M will be our opponent in Texas. If we go to the Gator then A&M heads to the New Era and Iowa State to the Texas.

KSU easily travels as good or better than any team in the Big 12.

I believe Fozey Whittaker is out for the year. He is their best offensive player. Give KOK a month he could probably come up with a decent game plan. I will take this match up.

Absolutely true. Without him they are a completely different team. Although a month of prep for Texas's fresh QBs and RB Brown would be helpful for them.

I know I'm in the overwhelming minority, but I still hope the B1G only gets 1 BCS bid.
If its two, its likely to be another embarrassing bowl season. It might be with just 1.

Interesting to see the AP this morning still have the Hawks going to the Gator v Florida. Also, they have ISU v Purdue in the Ticket City.

But if Michigan gets in it could be matched up against either Houston or the Big East champ (West Virginia or Louisville), either one would be winnable for Michigan.

Take it with a grain of salt. AP does not aggressively seek out early info on bowl assignments; just uses what other writers and columnists have posted. Think you're going to get better info earlier from Rob Howe, JonDMiller, the sports guys at the Gazette.

Nebby to the Insight bowl? Link

Kelwood, did you see a developmental page for Nebby ticketing to Insight? Not out of the realm of possibility a programmer is working it up tonight and accidentally left it on public.

When I went to that link it said there were no events, but that was only after several minutes of the whirling circle as if it was trying to load something.

Hope that's not the case ... would love for the Hawks to go back to Tempe.

I do see that it is no longer up. A Husker friend of mine sent me the link along with links to a couple threads discussing it on Husker fan sites. I agree this was probably posted to the public by mistake while being developed but I thought it was strange that they used the Insight Bowl.
