1118 days since Iowa has beat a ranked team

That is not completely true if you take the season as whole. As in if a team has been ranked in the season that being a ranked caliber team but just not in the rankings at the time of the game. Both Michigan and the cornsuckers were ranked in the 2013 season within weeks of losing to Iowa. If one counts just the week of the game that is being to specific and making that statistics too subjective.

Were they ranked at the time the game was played? That's the bases of the comment "Beat a ranked team". I didn't say "beat a team that finished the season without ever appearing on the rankings". It's not subjective. If you are going to bring subjectivity into the argument, I'm sure that 95% of Iowa's wins came against a team that was at one time in it's program's history...."ranked in the top 25". But that smacks of Alfraud's "March situations" comment.
