10 Years Later: Looking Back at Hawkeyes' Improbable Win Against No. 3 PSU

Crazy that its been 10 years.

Watched this at some odd hour in the middle of the night/morning on the Armed Forces Network from Ramadi, Iraq. The only game I got to watch that '08 season. Was a bright spot during a less than ideal time and it still makes me thankful I got to watch that game. I consider it one of my favorite Hawkeye moments.

It was really cold that day and I remember snow flurries while tailgating. That game is when I realized how special Clayborn was going to be for us.

I remember PSU was not prepared for the cold at all. Iowa had some nice heaters on their sideline but PSU did not bother to bring their heaters along from Happy Valley.

That was one of the excuses that PSU used for losing to Iowa. Another excuse I heard was that PSU QB Daryl Clark played most of the 2nd half with a concussion.

Thanks for your service and what a game you got to see!

Thank you for your service. And I also consider it a favorite Hawkeye moment. I was AT the Michigan game in 1985 when the ball came toward me, my brother, a former UI roommate, his fiancee and his younger brother. Mayhem after the kick!
