10 Most Overpaid College Football Coaches

Nothing new here. Just to play along, I agree with the sentiments about Ferentz. His overall body of work looks good, but as the article hints at, most of KF's success is in the distant past. Mainly 2002-04.

Also, ISU really is relevant no matter what Hok fan will tell you. If they weren't, CPR wouldn't be ranked 10th on this list.

So relevant that Paw makes less than half of what Kirk does, and still made the list. Those really are some million dollar locker room speeches.

Im not sure the website could fit more junk ads into a single page. The ad impressions alone could pay all those coaches salaries.

Maybe its not a current list but instead an all-time list?
Could be, I didn't read it, just flipped through the names. I think we all know KF is consider "overpaid" at this point. Not much we can do about it now other than complain at random times throughout the year on message boards I guess.

No support for Ferentz from me as our future head coach, but these lists are from the fan's perspective and not the University's perspective. I'm not suggesting that another coach wouldn't achieve similar financial results, but even with his ridiculous contract you can't say the University hasn't seen a positive ROI on Kirk Ferentz. He could coach out the rest of this contract and the University would still be coming out ahead. For better or worse, he took over a good program in a tough stretch and was a major factor in making it a financial juggernaut. Not saying the leadership doesn't want to win games, but KF isn't our head coach in 2015 because that is the U of I's priority.

Wait how old is this article? Charlie Weis and Brady Hoke are on the list.
Same for Muschamp at Florida. And with the kind of recruits Jones is pulling in at Tennessee, he may be a deal for the Vols in the not so distant future. What's the next list going to be, best and worst Disco Songs?
