04 ASU vs 10 Arizona

Assuming Iowa wins the first two, how much does the coaching staff look back on preparations for that 04 game? Or is it so far gone that it is irrelevant? I can't imagine we have a performance like that down there again.

Looking back on Ferentzs coaching career, give me an example of a time he did not learn dramatically from an original mistake? We may lose at AZ, but it won't be like '04 ASU.

Watching AZ tonight makes worry a bit. Their O looked stellar tonight. Granted it was Toledo, but Grigsby is ridiculously quick. I hope we can contain him b/c he can wreak havoc in open field. Foles was extremely efficient and made some good throws. Criner was an animal, making acrobatic catch after acrobatic catch. Think he ended up almost 200yds. They looked very good for an opening game.

I think Arizona is really good and I have very concerned about that game since the beginning of the season. However, I don't think the coaching staff should compare this game with that. Arizona State of 2004 and Arizona of 2010 are two different teams.

They've been holding a few practices at night to help get used to the time difference. KF learns valuable lessons from bitter experiences.

Yes, Zona looked good, but consider their opponent. This was a 7-2 game in the second quarter.

Arizona will play two weak teams before we play them.
They won't be ready to play a Big 10 team.
It's easy to look like a world beater when playing weak teams.
