Okay we're all drunk off our current success. I personally enjoy my Saturdays with a Heineken.

Reasons 7 wins feels like 177

Reason #1) We thought Rudock left us for a more desirable man, and even though we dumped JR, nothing is more painful than your ex-girlfriend getting married to a billionaire just a couple months after ya tell her you wanna see other women. Only in this case the billionaire turned out to be Robert Durst. How ya like being outa the running for the CCG in October Doctor?

Reason #2) Heartland Trophy. It's back on Hawkeye soil. Did I mention we took out the reigning WEST champion at THEIR HOUSE?

Reason #3) Cy-Hawk Trophy, back in our glass case where it should always be. Cyclones, back in the toilet where they should always be.

Reason #4) Illannoy. Scoreboard . . . plus their program is in disarray. Ted Karras, feel free to switch your allegiance as a ticket-holder starting next fall. Don't forget to buy an extra ticket for Brian Bobek.

Reason #5) Pitt just gets better and better and our win just looks sweeter and sweeter.

Reason #6) Seemingly every week Iowa adds another B1G POTW to our roster. Oh, btw, all these guys have at least one game where they produced over 100 yards of offense: Desmond King - Jerminic Smith - Tevaun Smith - Matt Vandeberg - LeShun Daniels - Jordan Canzeri - Akrum Wadley. I have a nickname for them: THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN

Reason #7) drum-roll please: OUR MOST HATED RIVAL IMPLODING THIS SEASON (no, not Purdue) NEBRASKA

Reason #8 - The 8th win & I cash in my Vegas ticket on the under over 7.5 wins for Iowa.

While I agree Minnesota is a longer rival to Iowa, living in Council Bluffs / Omaha area, there is nothing sweeter here than winning against Nebby. Isn't even like little brother as they don't consider Iowa a rival. They don't count basketball.

If you had told me Iowa would be 7-0 I would been all like Dr No. But now it seems like The World is Not Enough and every time I tune in a Hawkeye game it's like a View to a Kill.

So it looks like KF is the man with the Golden Gun. Thank God You Only Live Twice.

we is a doomsday machine.

Diamonds are forever but as for this threads' title, live and let die.

But even after being beaten, stabbed, shot, tortured, poisoned, over-exposed and ignored, sometimes a 007 thread will find a way to . . .

Alex..........That is a really excellent post. Love it

ANd I agree that Debbie is the most Hated, despised Hawkeye rival, in
Football, in the current Big10. Debbie really blows

Magnificently done.

Wisconsin is my most hated rival and it's not close.

Not so for me. As long as the proper order is restored, where IOWA slaps down Wisconsin, I generally like Wisky.

But with Debbie, even when Iowa wins, I still detest that garbage over there.

Yeah, that sums it up. And, at least Wisky does have a BBall team, unlike
Debbie

our most hated rival? seems MN ranks higher with many over UN

It is a rivalry game. And IIRC the Pig is one of the oldest trophies in college football. So you are on to something. But right now I count 3 Nebraska threads and 1 Minny thread. So . . .

To be sure it is a trophy game, which tends to generate strong passion on both sides. Of course Nebraska is also a trophy game, so passions will be riding high on that Saturday as well.

I guess Wisky isn't my most hated rival because they remind me of Iowa: The little engine that could. Three consecutive rose bowls orchestrated by one of Hayden's assistants and executed by one of his former players. Wisky has kinda had an Iowa vibe since Barry got to town IMO. Probably not a coincidence that Barry's successor was a Hawkeye disciple.

However unintentional this seems tasteless considering the Jerry Kill announcement. That being said. Go Hawks!!

My bad. Between the 77 (see what I did there) posts spitting on Iowa State while they are lying in the gutter and the Hitler/Ferentz caption generator I keep forgetting this board is primarily an etiquette teaching tool.

If it helps, I'm working on a machine that will allow Pelini and Kill to swap biological longevity. And NO my parents are not proud of me, despite all the money I give them.
