This would really make schools be selective with early offers. No more Alabama, OSU, Mich's of the world throwing out offers left and right and accepting commitments only to kick them to the curb once a better recruit comes along.

The problem with an early signing period is what if the recruit changes his mind after he signs early? Then he's stuck going to the school with a bad attitude and not wanting to be there. Do we want that toxic chemistry in the locker room?
