The Quonset huts and similar barracks-style structures were at a number of locations around campus at least through the '70's. When I was there in the '70's they were used for married student housing.

Good idea. I think that the scout team could well be one of the reasons that our defense was so well prepared. I believe Clayborn gave props in one of his interviews. What we heard a great deal of before the game was "Our scout team cannot possibly simulate the speed of the GT team." Hmmmm...
