    Miller: Iowa & B1G Bowl Projections 11/27

Jon If it ends up being Houston it will be a great game. Not so much just because I live here but a matchup for instance against Texas A+M would be tremendous. The Houston Hawkeyes would welcome all Iowa fans who would choose to come.

    Pitt Coach

Was there and glad Iowa won. However I was really glad we beat Graham the coach. A few years ago he was a coordinator at Tulsa. Left there for Rice and took Rice to a bowl for the first time in decades. After one year at Rice he goes back to Tulsa to be the head coach. He had gotten a rep for...

Drinks should be allowed in kinnick

That is not correct. I go to University of Houston games and they play in the on campus stadium. Beer is sold in the stadium. But at Kinnick they could never do that. They would need 1000 police to keep order. But plenty of people have booze. Just count the empty miniatures in the mens bathrooms.

    James Cleveland

He didnt play against MS St as he was suspended because he cut a practice not the week before the game but the week before that when they had a bye the Sat before the Ms State game. I was at the game and he was on the sideline in street clothes.

How/why did you become a Hawkeye fan?

Graduated from Iowa. Parents didnt go or didnt finish college. Never considered going to another school. Have lived in Texas since 77. People sometimes ask me who do you pull for around here. My answer is no one. Just because I live here doesnt make me a UT or AM fan. Do like going to University...

    Hightower to retire somewhat soon.

Maybe he can go back and call D3 ball or HS ball. That would be interesting. Actually there is a guy I know in Houston who was an NBA official. He now calls D2,D3, JUCO and HS. But it doesnt bother him. He loves the game. Worked a girls scrimmage with him last year. Eddie needs to go back down...

Bluder must have a small travel budget

Sometimes girls want to stay closer to home. Kelsey Bone who was the Gatorade National Player of the year 2 years ago at Sugarland Dulles in Houston signed with South Carolina. She was a top scorer for them. What I heard locally is she wanted to get away from her mother. But she transferred back...

    Lombardi Ceremony

Just got home from Lombardi Award. Although Adrian didnt win, I did have a chance to thank him afterwards for his contributions at Iowa. Spoke to his mother briefly. Carl Jackson(former Iowa running backs coach) was there. Kacenski spoke for him. Attached are some pictures.

Well I was able to get my two tickets for homecoming game today from the ticket office shortly after they sent out the email. They are on the east side at the goal line pretty far up. I paid the old capital club upgrade to my life membership(they dont seem to sell those anymore). The 100 I paid...

    Email from ticket office

Unrelated but I talked to the alumni association today. On Monday they will be sending out an email to Old Capital Club members and above for the first shot at the associations allotment of homecoming tickets. I bought a life membership in 73 for $100 when my first free year expired. I kicked in...

While an Iowa grad and a big time FB fan, I do like to watch good soccer. the first big match I ever went to was and England/Ireland friendly at Landswone Road in Dublin. It was awesome. have also been to a game at Marancana in Rio and also at Crystal Palace in London. On the biggest stages it...

    Iowa at Northwestern

I have been to this game the last two times it was played at NW. Tickets not a problem. Transportation options to Chicago from Houston are much cheaper than to IC. I mostly go to away games anyway.
