Nashville local media on Vanderbilt playing Iowa

They Beat Mizzou and won @ Tennessee. Better wins than anything on our schedule. S Carolina turned out to be dogmeat. Losses to Texas and Bama. No shame there. They're a good team. 54th in Total D. Good against the rush (15th) but weak against the pass (119th). Best rushing D we've played...

Nashville local media on Vanderbilt playing Iowa

It's all about one guy, their QB. If Pavia opts out it'll be a very different game.

Nashville local media on Vanderbilt playing Iowa

Reading the comments of Vandy's coach they're definitely not taking the game lightly. https://x.com/MichaelWBratton/status/1998074689034551463?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1998074689034551463%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=

    ISU Out of Bowl Game

Imagine the winning team getting $1M from the sponsor. Loser gets $100K. Money goes to the players only. That's around $10K each for the winners, $1K for the losers. Could make it interesting.

    Is Iowa better than Michigan?

I'd pay to see that game

    Notre Dame tantrum

There are too many bowls and have been for years. That's nothing new. Too many bowls + teams getting invited with .500 (and worse) records + the existence of a real playoff + the attitudes of entitlement (see Notre Dame). The product (bowl games, not college football) has been devalued. I'm...

    Notre Dame tantrum

Kind of blows a hole in that whole honor, character, etc persona. Bunch of whiny pussies.

    PSU and ISU schadenfreude

Pullman Washington gets as much snowfall as Ames does. It's not exactly paradise. I've been there. But I get your point. The part that I find laughable is that ISU had to pay WSU more for Rogers, than PSU did to ISU for Campbell.

    ISU Out of Bowl Game

Whole lot of unhappy people in and around Ames. People are turning on Pollard. This is going to get even better.

    "Nebraska is Dead" Video

I always thought that was a big contrived. The "Blackshirts". Oooooh, so your good defense players get black practice jerseys. Wow, impressive

    "Nebraska is Dead" Video

Here's what I don't get about this. Nebbie had 7 losing season with no bowl game. They just had their second consecutive winning season with a bowl game and NOW the wheels are falling off?

    PSU and ISU schadenfreude

The banner on his hiring announcement post would seem to telegraph that they are too. "Welcome home" to a guy who was born in Arizona and never coached or lived in Iowa? Why not just write "Please don't leave us!" ;)

Not so fast, my friend. Need to be very selective and have a rigorous deprogramming and delousing process. Do not wanna screw up our locker room.

    PSU and ISU schadenfreude

Campbell left ISU better than we he arrived. No question. It's still not a top job, especially with the money Challenges that Pollard has been talking about so openly. The big kick in the teeth for clones fans is that many were thinking MC could take over the state when KFz retires in the next...
